Elton John’s farewell tour to make stops at Tacoma Dome

TACOMA, Wash. — Elton John has announced his final North American tour dates for his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road, The Final Tour.”

The additional 11 dates were announced on the heels of his 75th birthday.

The new dates include performances in East Rutherford, New Jersey; Foxborough, Massachusetts; Toronto, Ontairo; Vancouver, British Columbia; and Phoenix, Arizona; along with a third show added at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

Stops in Santa Clara, California; San Diego, California; and Tacoma were also added.

The iconic singer-songwriter will make stops at the Tacoma Dome on Oct. 16 and 17 at 8 p.m.

Tickets go on sale on Ticketmaster on April 6.

His final North American show will be in Los Angeles on Nov. 20, marking his 2,000th U.S. concert.

“Over a staggering 52 years of live performances, Elton has played for tens of millions of fans worldwide, and has broken multiple attendance and box-office records throughout his career, hitting an unrivaled apex that is sure to remain unchallenged for years to come,” a news release from the Tacoma Dome said.

His five-year, worldwide tour will continue in 2023 with two shows in Auckland, New Zealand on Jan. 27 and 28, along with dates in Australia before it formally concludes in Stockholm, Sweden, on July 8, 2023.
