Due to a lower unemployment rate in the state, the Extended Benefits program is ending at the end of the week.
The Department of Labor notified the Employment Security Department that the program will end March 13.
The program goes into effect when the unemployment rate is high, providing 13-20 weeks of benefits for people who have exhausted their regular benefits.
With the passage of the latest stimulus bill, the Employment Security Department said claimants who currently get Extended Benefits can be eligible for Pandemic Unemployment Compensation Benefits.
The department advises people to keep filing weekly claims and to keep an eye out for more information.
