Former nurse at Todd Beamer High charged with child rape

A former nurse at Todd Beamer High School in Federal Way was charged with child rape, sexual misconduct with a minor and communication with a minor for immoral purposes.

Charging document say the suspect, Mark David Glenn, 51, met the teenage victims in the nurse’s office.

“The defendant made sexual comments and complimented the victims’ bodies,” a prosecutor wrote in charging documents. “He also communicated with one victim using social media and sent her an image of his penis. The defendant also had her sit on his lap in the office and asked if she could feel his penis as she sat on him. He also invited a victim to leave campus with him. The two left campus together in the defendant’s car. He drove to a parking lot where he raped the 15-year-old in the passenger seat of his car.”

Investigators said Glenn communicated with the teen through the Kik Messenger app.

Police said the 15-year-old girl told another school nurse that Glenn had a sexual encounter with her. That nurse reported it to authorities in October 2019 and police opened an investigation.

Glenn was terminated from his Todd Beamer High position in 2019 after another teenage girl reported he made an inappropriate comment and asked her to take off her pants while giving her a bandage for a minor injury to her lower leg, investigators said.

Glenn was employed through a third-party agency that contracts healthcare professionals in schools. He was fired by the agency, and that agency was pursuing the removal of his license, the high school’s principal told police.

According to charging documents, Glenn also talked about bringing a gun to school and knowing how to use a gun.

A 16-year-old girl told police Glenn touched her inappropriately before she pushed him away and punched him.

Records show Glenn was booked into King County Jail on January 16, eight days after charges were filed. He was released just over three hours later on $100,000 bond.
