SEATTLE — The owner of the now shutdown Foundation Nightclub in Seattle was in court Thursday to face a judge.
Ian Jurgensen, 37, pleaded not guilty to conspiracy charges in connection with a joint law enforcement drug investigation in 2018.
Seattle police and Homeland Security ran five-month undercover sting at Foundation Nightclub on Western Avenue.
According to charging documents, Jurgensen was supplying large amounts of drugs to dealers, including cocaine, meth, and GHB which is also known as the date rape drug.
KIRO 7 spoke with a woman named Ellery Turk earlier this month from her home in California.
She believes she was drugged at the Foundation Nightclub and said she was so sick she vomited in her sleep.
“It’s frightening,” said Turk. “I am happy to see that they are being charged people doing this need to be held responsible when you are putting people’s lives in danger.”
On Thursday, the Foundation Nightclub remains closed and its liquor license suspended.
So far, 16 people have been arrested in this case.
Jurgensen is out of jail on bail.
