SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating a threat made on social media that lead to the closure of Franklin High School on Wednesday and another potential threat at Rainier Beach High School, according to the Seattle police and a tweet from Seattle Public Schools.

The specific threat at Franklin High School led to the closure of the school on Wednesday.

Rainier Beach High School did not receive a specific threat, although students sheltered in place on Wednesday.

Seattle Police and Seattle Public Schools Safety and Security Department are addressing campus safety and providing additional patrols.
