SEATTLE — Numerous crews were called to the Seattle Public Utilities South Transfer Station in South Seattle for a garbage fire.
Seattle Fire first reported the flames in the 130 block of South Kenyon Street shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Drivers approaching the First Avenue South Bridge reported smoke in the area but no flames were visible.
The fire burning inside the transfer station was under control shortly after fire crews arrived.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
No injuries were reported.
