SEATTLE, Wash. — KIRO 7 is one of the first local television stations in the country - and the only station in Seattle– currently working with Amazon to deliver video news content on the new Echo Show, a new Alexa-powered touchscreen device
The Echo Show launched just a few days ago. It's similar to the audio news updates already being provided on Alexa-enabled devices like the Amazon Echo and Amazon Fire TV. But now, consumers will now have the opportunity to watch KIRO 7's video news content on the new device's 7-inch touchscreen display.
When customers ask Alexa for the news, they can receive a two-minute Video Flash Briefing featuring KIRO 7 News anchors providing trending storylines and weather information. KIRO 7 was the first station to utilize their anchor team to deliver news briefings on the Amazon Echo – which is being delivered to tens of thousands of customers daily - and is again one of the first to deliver video content via the new Echo Show.
This integration allows KIRO 7 to deliver news through the unique content delivery channels provided by Amazon and ensures customers will receive relevant and timely news specific to this region.
