An elderly driver was rescued from Lake Stevens by a good Samaritan after unintentionally driving into the lake’s North Cove on Thursday evening, according to Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue.
The incident happened just after 8 p.m.
According to authorities, the driver’s car entered the water, and a bystander immediately jumped into the lake while calling 911 for assistance.
Fire crews responded and confirmed that the driver was safe after being helped out of the water by the good Samaritan.
The driver’s identity was not released.
