RENTON, Wash. — Gov. Jay Inslee has issued an emergency proclamation after a semitruck struck the Lind Avenue overpass in mid-June, causing severe damage.

On June 13, surveillance video captured a truck pulling an excavator that struck the overpass.

Proclamation 22-03 directs the implementation of the plans and procedures in the Washington State Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan. State agencies and departments will utilize state resources to respond and make necessary repairs.

The cost to repair the overpass is estimated at $2 million.
