MOSES LAKE, Wash. — The Grant County Health District is warning people to avoid contact with the water in Moses Lake.
The agency tested for the spread of blue-green algae in Moses Lake earlier this week.
It says all the samples came back with toxin levels higher than the Washington state recreational guidelines.
That makes it likely that blue-green algae is present in all parts of Moses Lake.
Because of that, the agency says people should avoid recreational water activities, not drink the lake water, and keep all pets and livestock away from the lake water.
