The helicopter is owned by Northwest Helicopters, according to a spokesperson for the Port of Olympia, which runs the airport.

The airport, at 7643 Old Hwy 99 Southeast in Tumwater, remained operational Friday.

The Olympia Regional Airport is a general aviation public airport offering aircraft service and maintenance operations, flight instruction, hangars and tie down space, state and corporate aviation facilities, and land and buildings available for lease for aviation related use, according to the airport's website.
