RENTON, Wash. — A hit-and-run in Renton has left 28 customers without power, Puget Sound Energy said Friday.
According to the Renton Police Department, a "taller white work van with no back windows" hit a utility pole in the 12400 block of Petrovitsky Road and took off.
Reports of the crash first came in around 1:40 p.m.
Video from Chopper 7 showed downed power lines over Petrovitsky Road.
Petrovitsky Road was closed to traffic for about an hour but reopened around 2:40 p.m.
PSE had estimated that work would be finished by 9:30 p.m. but that time was moved back to 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
