How to stay cool in Seattle during the heat wave

SEATTLE — From late Thursday afternoon through Saturday night, Western Washington will be in a heat wave.

The National Weather Service has issued heat advisories and warnings.

On Wednesday, the city of Seattle announced public places that may be used by people to stay cool during the heat.

Seattle Public Library locations:

These locations are equipped with air conditioning and serve as cooling centers. The city advises anyone who plans to go should call to verify the air conditioning units are working properly.
