BREMERTON, Wash. — Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating human remains that were found in unincorporated Bremerton.
Around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, police got a call about a dead body in a former quarry next to a highway.
Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office said the call came in from the person who spotted the body.
Detectives believe that the person was brought to that area after they died.
Evidence collected did not show any signs of trauma or violence, detectives said.
The Kitsap County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death.
The sheriff’s office said there is no threat to the public.
