Hundreds rally in Seattle for justice, equality, human right at People’s March

SEATTLE — On Saturday, hundreds of people gathered in Seattle to support justice, equality, and human rights.

Organized by People’s March, formerly known as the Women’s March, the event began with speeches at Cal Anderson Park.

Some speakers included Representative Pramila Jayapal, President of the regional NAACP Sheley Seacrest and others.

After the speeches, the rally attendees walked from Cal Anderson Park down East Pine Street to 4th Avenue and ended at Seattle Center.

Organizers are calling for the protection of women’s reproductive rights, environmental protections and Native American rights.

Seattle is one of many cities that participated in this event around the country.
