SEATTLE — On Feb. 4, seven illegal gambling machines were seized from various businesses around Seattle, Tacoma and Lynnwood.
The Washington State Gambling Commission (WSGC) said these machines were found in five businesses in predominantly low-income neighborhoods, “giving the owners of the machines an opportunity to prey on the community.”
According to the WSGC, these machines were used to facilitate money being added to an online gaming account or payout if the player won. Once the money was accepted at the kiosk, the player could go onto a website and play illegal gambling games.
Along with these machines, $2,317 were seized.
