The SR 520 bridge is getting a tailored increase that averages 15% by times of day, starting July 1, 2023.
- No toll rate changes for overnight rates (11 p.m. to 5 a.m.)
- Weekday peak hour times are extended by one hour later, resulting in a $1.10 increase from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Rate increases for other times of day, including the weekends, range from 20 cents to 55 cents
The pandemic resulted in a significant traffic decline in traffic and toll revenues for the bridge. If traffic rebounds faster than expected, the WSTC may adjust rates again before 2023.
