Injured hawk rescued in Port Orchard

A hawk is recovering at a wildlife shelter after it was found injured over the weekend.

Trooper Chelsea Hodgson said a good Samaritan found the injured hawk on State Route 16 in Port Orchard.

The hawk was taken to West Sound Wildlife Shelter, where it is healing.

A Good Samaratin was able to help this injured hawk on SR 16 in #PortOrchard this weekend.

A #WSP trooper saw the man with the bird on the shoulder & offered to bring it to West Sound Wildlife Shelter where it is healing & will hopefully be returned to the wild. #YourWSP pic.twitter.com/9wQyHOMnP3
