TACOMA, Wash. — A homicide investigation is underway after a 29-year-old man was shot and killed Thursday evening in Tacoma.
Police were called at 6:30 p.m. to the Terra Heights Apartments located in the 2300 block of South 96th Street.
When officers arrived, they found the victim on the ground unresponsive. Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
No others were injured.
There is no word on what led to the shooting.
Police said the 28-year-old suspect stayed at the scene and was identified as the person who called 911. He was taken into custody without incident.
