SEATTLE — A man taken to the hospital after being shot at an encampment Thursday afternoon in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District has died.
Police were called at about 2:15 p.m. to the 1000 block of South Dearborn Street for a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a “suspected gunshot” wound to his back, the Seattle Police Department said.
The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment but later died.
Police have not said what led to the shooting or whether a suspect was taken into custody.
Officers are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call 206-233-5000.
