SEATTLE — An investigation is underway after man in his 30s was fatally stabbed Thursday night in City Hall Park in downtown Seattle.
Witnesses began calling 911 around 8 p.m., saying a man had been stabbed at Fourth Avenue and Jefferson Street.
Officers arrived and immediately arrested a suspect, who officers said was still holding a knife that may have been used to stab the victim.
Police found the victim and started CPR, but when medics arrived, they pronounced him dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives are speaking with witnesses, interviewing the suspect and reviewing evidence. It is not yet known what led up to the stabbing.
