Kamala Harris will visit Seattle for first time since late-2022

SEATTLE — Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff will visit Seattle for a speech acknowledging the one year anniversary of the inflation reduction act on Tuesday.

Harris will “highlight the monumental impact that this historic legislation is having on communities throughout America and discuss the Biden-Harris administration’s continued commitment to addressing the climate crisis with the urgency it demands while building a clean energy economy that creates good-paying jobs,” said her office.

Harris says that she will speak about the Biden Administration’s plans to address climate change. This visit lands one year after President Biden signed the ‘inflation reduction act’ into law which increases domestic energy production.

This will be the Vice President’s second trip to Seattle since taking office in 2020. Last October Harris was in town to announce new funding for electric school buses.
