Kitsap County deputies looking for man wanted on child rape charges

KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. — Kitsap County deputies are looking for a man wanted on a warrant for child rape and luring a minor.

On Wednesday, investigators were looking into allegations that Roger Alan Heath, 36, had sexually assaulted a girl.

During the investigation, detectives learned Heath was planning on fleeing Washington with the victim and had tried to lure her into his car, but was unsuccessful, a post on the sheriff’s office Facebook page said.

Deputies said Heath knows police are looking for him.

Detectives believe he is hiding in the south Kitsap County area and may be armed.

Heath is described as white, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

The Kitsap County Superior Court issued an arrest warrant for Heath for two counts of second-degree child rape and luring a minor. His bail was set at $1 million.
