Kitsap County detectives investigate possible ATM card skimming at Silverdale Credit Union

SILVERDALE, Wash. — Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a potential ATM card skimmer at the Connection Credit Union in Silverdale.

On Friday, deputies responded to a call from an employee at Connection Credit Union on Silverdale Way Northwest about a customer reporting fraudulent activity.

When deputies arrived, they learned that the branch ATM had been tampered.

Police reviewed the ATM video and said they saw either two or three people concealing their identity come to the ATM many times over 19 days.

The suspects were seen coming and leaving the ATM on foot or scooters coming from different directions.

Deputies do not know how many debit card numbers were taken and could not find any transactions made by the suspects.

Customer who believes their information was stolen is asked to call their bank or credit union and report fraudulent activity to police.
