KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. — The National Weather Service issued tornado warnings for central Kitsap County and the Bainbridge Island area Tuesday.
One warning expired and the other was canceled, but there is still the threat of severe weather in the area Tuesday.
The warning for the Bainbridge Island area included Suquamish, Brownsville and Rollingbay and was in effect until 12:30 p.m., but was canceled around 12:19 p.m.
The warning for central Kitsap County was issued around 11:45 a.m. and expired at 12:15 p.m. Silverdale, Tracyton and Seabeck were included.
Kitsap County Emergency Management said there were no reports of a touchdown.

Schools in the Bainbridge Island School District sheltered in place.
The Weather Service also issued a special marine weather warning including Puget Sound and Hood Canal that could produce water spouts, heavy rain and strong wind. That warning expired at 12:45 pm.
The National Weather Service said tornadoes can happen in the fall in Western Washington. On Dec.12, 1969, there was an F3 tornado in Kent, an F2 tornado in Port Orchard on Dec. 18, 2018, and the first tornado reported in Seattle on Sept. 28, 1962.
