SEATTLE — A new member of the Seattle Kraken made his debut at Climate Pledge Arena during Monday’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Davy Jones is a 4-month-old husky mix that is in the process of becoming a therapy dog, in partnership with pet food company Canidae. The team plans on sharing his journey over the next few months.
Davy was adopted from Dog Gone Seattle, a nonprofit organization that’s dedicated to saving homeless dogs in high-kill shelters in Washington and beyond. Rescues are 100% funded through adoption fees and donations.
Davy was adopted by Chris and Emily Scarbrough, who are members of the Seattle Kraken family. Chris Scarbrough is a leader on the Kraken’s app development team.
Davy has an older brother named Doug, who is a 2-year-old rescue.
Seattle Kraken Corporate Communications Manager De’Aira Anderson said Davy will be making appearances at Kraken home games, practices at the Kraken Community Iceplex and some community events.
