SEATTLE — Several roads in West Seattle were closed on Friday due to a landslide, power outages and downed trees.
The Seattle Department of Transportation closed Highland Park Way Southwest, and Southwest Holden Street to West Marginal Way Southwest to the public.
SDOT and Seattle City Light crews were called to the area, working to clear debris from the streets and repairing wires in an effort to get the roads reopened.
People driving, biking and walking in the area were advised to find alternate routes, such as the Myers Way/White Center exit from southbound State Route 509 to access the southern part of West Seattle via Southwest Roxbury Street.
