SNOHOMISH, Wash. — Fire crews fought a large fire that destroyed a tire shop.
Firefighters were called to the business on Avenue D in Snohomish at 2:36 a.m. Wednesday.
Snohomish County Fire District #4 officials said a passerby saw the fire and called 911.
By the time firefighters arrived, flames were shooting 50 feet into the air.
The roof collapsed, along with part of the interior of the building. Burned cars could be seen inside.
Firefighters had to put out the fire defensively from the outside.
Crews from Everett were called help and used a ladder truck to pour water on the fire from above.
The flames have since been put out.
No injuries were reported.
