AUBURN, Wash. — Many Auburn residents experienced dirty water running from their taps Wednesday afternoon after a large water main break.
City of Auburn officials said the water main break happened on Auburn Way South near 12th Street Southeast.
People living between 12th Street and M Street Southeast are without water and others are experiencing dirty water coming from their taps, officials said.
Officials asked residents with cloudy water to run cold water from an outside water valve or their bathtub for several minutes until the water clears, and officials said the water was safe to drink.
Crews are repairing the break and work is ongoing, officials said. No timeline was given on when the repairs would be completed.
