EVERETT, Wash. — Earlier this month, patrol officers in Everett received notification via the Flock Safety License Plate Reader (LPR) System that a stolen car was traveling through the city.
With the help of the LPR system, officers quickly tracked it down and stopped the driver near 39th Street and Rucker Avenue.
Officers say the car had been stolen in December.
Inside, officers found a series of drugs including meth, fentanyl powder, cocaine, and MDMA.
The driver was later booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Taking a Motor Vehicle Without Permission 1, and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
“Our department is leveraging innovative technology such as the Flock Safety System to improve community safety,” Everett police posted online.
