LACEY, Wash. — Lacey Police detectives are investigating after they found a loaded gun near an elementary school.
The gun was found Tuesday afternoon near Seven Oaks Elementary School after someone called in a tip about a weapon in the woods nearby.
Police found the .40-caliber handgun after a 40-minute search.
Investigators are trying to determine how the gun ended up there and who owns the weapon.
