Police arrested 14 people in a six-hour special emphasis targeting retail theft at the Lynnwood Fred Meyer on January 29.
At least eight of those arrested were not Lynnwood residents, with one person saying they had been tipped off about the store being an easy target.
In a statement, the Lynnwood Police Department said it is committed to making the city and its retail establishments safe and enjoyable places to shop.
They want to remind the public that retail theft is not tolerated in Lynnwood and offenders will be held accountable, including the possibility of jail time.
The department plans to conduct additional retail enforcement operations in the coming months.
