A man accused of trafficking a young woman and forcing her into prostitution along Aurora Avenue is now facing multiple felony charges in King County.
According to Casey McNerthney, spokesperson for the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, prosecutors have charged 26-year-old Rodriguez Damon Green with human trafficking, promoting prostitution, and second-degree assault.
McNerthney said the case reflects long‑standing concerns from neighbors about persistent human trafficking activity along the Aurora corridor.
“The allegations are that Green recruited the victim over Instagram and continued to recruit her while he was incarcerated on a Department of Corrections warrant,” McNerthney said. “When he got out, Green allegedly bought her a one-way ticket from Portland. When she arrived, Green allegedly gave her a cell phone and took her to Aurora Avenue, where she engaged in commercial sex, and all proceeds went to Green.”

The case took a darker turn on September 7.
“When the woman decided she didn’t want to work as a prostitute any longer, the allegations are that Green responded with physical violence and assaulted her and pointed a handgun at her, then later kicked her out of a car in a parking garage in SeaTac,” McNerthney said. “It’s fortunate that she was able to be taken in safely and the police followed up with her.”
Judge sets bail at $300K as prosecutors highlight persistent trafficking along Aurora Avenue
Because of the seriousness of the allegations and the fact that Green has a violent criminal history, prosecutors initially requested bail be set at $750,000.
At Green’s first court appearance, a judge set bail at $300,000 after hearing from both sides.
McNerthney said the office has been consistently filing human trafficking and related cases, but emphasized that this one underscores both the scale of trafficking in King County and the pressure from residents to address visible sexual exploitation along Aurora Avenue.
