ARLINGTON, Wash. — A man was arrested Sunday after he broke a business’ window and attempted to hit an employee with a sign, according to Arlington police.
Officers were called to the 200 block of North Olympic Avenue for a report of an “assault priority.”
When police arrived, they found a 20-year-old man, who was being held down by bystanders in the street, authorities said.
Police said the initial investigation reveals that the man had broken the window of a business with a sign, and then attempted to hit an employee with the sign. The man also kicked out the rear window of an officer’s patrol vehicle after he was detained.
Police did not release a possible motive.
The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for second-degree attempted assault, second-degree malicious mischief and resisting arrest, police said.
