Man arrested after making false security threat on Alaska Airlines flight leaving from Sea-Tac

A man was arrested Saturday for making what turned out to be a false security threat after boarding an Alaska Airlines flight, Port of Seattle officials said.

Officials said the passenger made the threat after boarding the plane, which was headed to Ketchikan.

The plane was taken to a secure area for inspection, where investigators determined it was a false alarm.

The suspect was taken into custody and other passengers were booked onto the next available flight.
