SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating after six weekend shootings resulted in at least two people being hurt, the arrest of a man, and the recovery of a gun.
On Saturday at 6 p.m., an officer was flagged down by someone in the Chinatown-International District reporting a shooting at 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street.
Officers found drops of blood and a shell casing, but no victim.
Around 11 p.m. that night, a man in the 400 block of Dexter Avenue North asked a passerby to call 911 because he’d been shot.

Medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center for gunshot wounds to both of his legs.
Officers said they recovered evidence from a shooting scene at an encampment in the 500 block of Dexter Avenue North.
On Sunday at 6:27 a.m., emergency dispatchers received calls about shots fired in the 4000 block of Rainier Avenue South.

Officers responded, but anyone who was involved had already left the scene.
Police said they found a trail of blood on the street and sidewalk, more than 30 shell casings, and damage to buildings and a car.
At 12:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting at South Jackson Street and Maynard Avenue South. According to witnesses and evidence later collected from the scene, a man shot at a victim who ran away and was never found.
Officers spotted the man a few blocks away, and after a brief foot chase, he was taken into custody. Investigators said as officers chased the man, they saw him throw a gun into a tent under the Interstate 5 overpass at South Dearborn Street, where it was later recovered.
Police said officers seized $933 in cash and about 17 grams of crack cocaine from the man as evidence, as well as an armored vest he was wearing under a jacket.
The 39-year-old man was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault, unlawful possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and unlawful possession of a firearm, as the man is a felon.
Around 1:30 p.m., police were called to an encampment in the 600 block of Northeast 55th Street for a report of a shooting. Officers found a 31-year-old man who had been shot in the leg. The victim and witnesses gave officers a description of the suspect.
At 1:18 a.m. on Monday, a man driving home from work in West Seattle called 911 to report being the victim of a drive-by shooting.
He said that as he turned into the intersection of Delridge Way Southwest and Southwest Trenton Street, the driver of the car behind him fired several shots at his vehicle before driving away. The man’s car door was hit by a bullet, but he was not hurt.
Seattle police said investigators do not believe the shootings are connected.
