LACEY, Wash. — A man is in critical condition after he was found inside a burning home in Lacey Monday morning.
Lacey police said fire crews were called to the 4300 block of Meridian Road Northeast at 6:57 a.m.
When crews arrived, the house was heavily involved in fire and at first, they had to fight the flames from the outside.
Firefighters entered the home and found an elderly man in the back. He was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and burns and then taken to Salish Middle School, where he was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.
Lacey fire is investigating.
