Police said the suspect left the scene in a white pickup. While on their way to the home, a Marysville officer found the truck and tried to pull it over, but the driver refused to stop.

The officer pursued the driver, and a “pursuit intervention technique,” or PIT maneuver, was performed, and the chase ended in the 4200 block of 88th Street NE.

As officers were approached the pickup, they heard a gunshot coming from the truck and found the driver with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Officers performed CPR until Marysville fire medics arrived and took the suspect to Providence Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
