SEATTLE — Police are investigating a shooting at Pioneer Square that left one man dead and sent a woman to the hospital in the early hours of Saturday.
Around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Seattle Police answered calls of a shooting near the intersection of South Main Street and 2nd Avenue South in Seattle.
When Seattle Fire arrived, they found a man inside a car with a gunshot wound.
Seattle Fire tried to save the man’s life but were not successful and pronounced the man dead.
When Seattle Police arrived they got word that a 23-year-old woman had arrived at the Swedish Hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police said she was stable but in serious condition.
Police do not know what led to the shooting and do not have a suspect in custody.
The Homicide Unit is investigating and asking anyone with information to call the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Liine at (206) 233-5000.
