KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. — Around 6 p.m. on Saturday, the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office answered a call about a person hit by a car on Indianola Road Northeast and Northeast Fireside Lane in Indianola.
When deputies arrived they found a man and the two cars at the scene.
North Kitsap Fire and Rescue pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Deputies said that a man wearing dark clothing was hit by one car then fell on the road and was hit by a second car.
Both drivers did remain on the scene and investigators determined that neither driver was impaired.
The sheriff’s traffic investigators are still investigating the cause and have not identified the man.
The drivers were not cited for any traffic violations, KCSO said.
The Kitsap County Medical Examiner’s office will be responsible for determining the cause and manner of death.
