PUYALLUP, Wash. — A 21-year-old man was ejected from his vehicle after it struck a tree in Puyallup overnight, according to police.
Puyallup police say the man was found about 20 yards from his vehicle after the vehicle hit the tree, then rolled and landed on its wheels again.
Officers are on scene of a one car injury accident in the 3500 blk of 9th St S.W. near Red Robin. Please avoid the area as 9th St S.W. is closed from Hwy 512 to 39th Ave S.W. while officer investigate.

He was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center with injuries that were considered life-threatening, according to police. The passenger in the vehicle, also 21, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with injuries that were not considered as serious.
About 2:50 a.m. Sunday, police, citing witnesses, say the vehicle was headed north at a “high rate of speed” in the 3500 block of Ninth Street Southwest before the crash.
Police also say that it “appears that alcohol was a factor in the collision.”
