ARLINGTON, Wash. — A man who was found dead inside a recreational vehicle that caught fire at an Arlington RV park early Wednesday has been identified.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man as 66-year-old William J. Dailey of Arlington.
Officials said his cause of death was due to fire-related injuries and his manner of death was accidental.
At 1:50 a.m., emergency dispatchers began receiving calls about the fire at the Smokey Point RV Park, located at 17532 Smokey Point Boulevard, said Peter Barrett with Arlington police.
One RV caught fire. The flames then spread to a second RV.
North County Fire & EMS put out the flames.
Firefighters found the body of Dailey inside the first RV that caught fire. The person who was in the second RV that was damaged got out safely.
Witnesses said the flames were at least 40 feet high.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
