BELLEVUE, Wash. — An elderly man was hit and seriously injured when crossing the street Friday afternoon in Bellevue, police said.
Traffic investigators responded around 1:30 p.m. for a serious vehicle-pedestrian collision at 156th Avenue NE and NE 20th Street.

Police tweeted that an elderly man was walking in the crosswalk when he was hit.
Investigators are talking to the driver, who showed no sign of impairment, and continuing to investigate.
Drivers are being asked to avoid 156th Avenue NE and Northup Way.
