SEATTLE — A man was taken to a hospital after a one-car crash in Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood Monday morning.
A driver hit a tree off Rainier Avenue South at Cloverdale Place at around 4:15 a.m. Both directions of Rainier were closed near Rainier Beach High School but reopened about an hour later.
The driver, a man in his 20s, was the only person in the car.
Firefighters said it took 20 minutes to free the man from his car using the Jaws of Life.
The driver was stable when he was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
