Man injured after argument leads to gunfire, police say

OLYMPIA, Wash. — A man is recovering at the hospital after an argument led to gunfire Saturday in downtown Olympia.

Law enforcement said around 4 p.m., two groups got into an altercation at 4th Avenue and Franklin Street Northeast.

A person in one group pulled out a gun and fired into the other group, striking a man in the foot, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No others were injured, and no arrests have been made yet.

The incident remains under investigation.
