Man injured in downtown Seattle stabbing

SEATTLE — A man, 40, was taken to the hospital after being stabbed Wednesday evening in downtown Seattle.

Firefighters were called after 6:15 p.m. to the area of Third Avenue and Union Street.

Medics treated the man at the scene and then took him to Harborview Medical Center. Police said he suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses said it appeared two men had got into a fight before the victim was assaulted, police said.

The stabbing suspect could not be found, police said.
