RENTON, Wash. — Renton police say a man was killed after being struck by a car on Saturday night.
It happened around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast Carr Road and 108th Avenue Southeast.
Investigators say the man was attempting to cross Southeast Carr Road when he was hit by an SUV.
Police say the victim was not using a crosswalk.
The driver of the SUV stopped and cooperated with officers. Police do not believe the driver was impaired.
Eastbound Southeast Carr Road from 106th to 108th Avenue Southeast was shut down for the investigation.
