AUBURN, Wash. — Washington State Patrol is investigating after a man was killed in a rollover crash in Auburn early Sunday.
At about 3:30 a.m., WSP responded to a reported brush fire at northbound State Route 167, just north of 37th Street.
Once firefighters arrived at the scene, they determined the fire was actually a single-vehicle collision.
Troopers believe the 35-year-old driver of the car was speeding before the crash.
He reportedly lost control of his vehicle as he was leaving the roadway, rolling several times before landing in a ditch, causing him to be ejected from the car.
The driver was the only person inside of the vehicle and appeared to not be wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to WSP.
