Police lights

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — According to the Washington State Patrol, a man driving north on Interstate 5 near 164th street watched a car behind him start to pass, then his car was struck by two bullets on the passenger side.

Around 11 p.m., the man said an older maroon Ford Taurus passed his car and was then hit by two bullets. One struck the right fender and the other went through the right passenger door and hit him in the thigh.

The man said there was no aggressive driving that could have led up to the incident and he’s unaware of who the shooter could be.

The man told officers he also saw a blue laser, sometimes associated with laser sights on a firearm.

The Washington State Patrol is looking for witnesses to the event, if you have seen a blue laser coming from a vehicle or something suspicious, contact Detective Josh Lancaster at Joshua.lancaster@wsp.wa.gov or 425-923-6718.
