Man shot at Lynnwood gas station; suspect in custody

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A man was arrested after a shooting at a Lynnwood gas station and a short pursuit, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

At around 11:40 a.m. on May 16, deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 1500 block of 164th Street Southwest.

When deputies arrived, they found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

The 22-year-old was transported to Harborview Medical Center and is expected to survive.

The suspect, a 36-year-old man, fled the scene in a car.

When deputies found him, the 36-year-old fled on foot near McCollum Park on 128th Street Southeast.

After deputies contained the scene, the K9 unit found the 36-year-old hiding behind a home.

He surrendered and was taken into custody.

As detectives investigate the incident, they believe the two men knew each other.
